IHS TOWERS NAMED AFRICAN INFRASTRUCTURE ICT PROJECT DEVELOPER OF THE YEAR
2 June 2015; Lagos, Nigeria: IHS Towers (“IHS”), Africa’s leading independent mobile telecommunications infrastructure provider, today has won the Africa Investor (Ai) African Infrastructure ICT Project Developer of the Year award.
IHS was awarded Ai African Infrastructure ICT Project Developer of the Year in relation to the business acquiring over 2,000 towers from Etisalat in Nigeria and more than 10,000 towers from MTN Group in Nigeria, Zambia and Rwanda in 2014 as well as also recently raising US$2.6 billion to fund continued growth.
These recent acquisitions have doubled IHS’s operations to over 23,000 towers making IHS the largest tower owner and operator in Europe, Middle East and Africa and further reinforces IHS’s leading position as the trusted partner for mobile network operators.
