14 June 2021, London: IHS Holding Limited (“IHS Towers”), one of the largest independent owners, operators and developers of shared telecommunications infrastructure in the world by tower count, today announces that Adam Walker, Executive Vice President (EVP) and Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO), who joined IHS in 2017, is planning to retire from full time executive life.

Adam’s retirement will take effect from March 2022 by which time he will have served as a Group CFO across multiple corporate entities, for almost 20 years, five of which have been with IHS Towers.

Steve Howden, current Senior Vice President and Deputy CFO will succeed Adam in the role of EVP & Group CFO effective April 1st, 2022. Steve joined IHS Towers in 2013 and was appointed to his current role reporting to Adam in 2019, where he oversees the treasury function, financial planning and analysis, investor relations, communications, commercial and mergers & acquisitions (M&A).

Steve has been instrumental in leading several of the acquisitions and financing activities at IHS Towers in recent years. Steve joined IHS Towers from Ernst & Young where he was a member of the Ernst & Young M&A department and in the Corporate Restructuring team. Steve is a Chartered Accountant who trained at Ernst & Young in London and has a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Bath in the UK.

Adam has played a leading role in transforming and growing our Finance function to maturity over the past four years. I have enjoyed working with him and am extremely grateful for the significant contributions he has made, one of which was developing an ideal successor in Steve. I am delighted that IHS Towers will continue to benefit from Adam’s experience over the next ten months at which point I look forward to working alongside Steve in his new role. I would also like to wish Adam all the best in his well-deserved retirement after a long, fulfilling and successful executive career.
