Bill Bates

Bill is responsible for the Group’s mergers and acquisitions and commercial strategy.

Before joining IHS in January 2022, Bill served as Senior Vice President at Brookfield Asset Management from 2017 to 2021, where he was responsible for investing in towers, fiber and data centers. Prior to Brookfield, he was a Vice President on the Business Development team at SBA Communications from 2001 to 2016, where he focused on driving growth in emerging markets.

Bill is a graduate of the Ivey Business School’s Marketing Management program and is also a graduate of Humber College with a Diploma in Electronic Engineering.
