Since IHS’ inception in 2001, we have established a reputation as a leader in the high growth, emerging market communications infrastructure sector, servicing MNOs and ultimately the end-consumer through critical infrastructure, which also benefits our markets' broader communities by accelerating access to mobile communications. 

Through the growth of 2G, 3G, 4G and now 5G, we have helped MNOs in our markets provide services to their customers by owning, operating, sharing and constructing communications infrastructure. The strategic objectives which guide our business strategy are:

Existing market expansion

  • Continually assesses opportunities in our existing markets to identify where our operations can be strengthened.
  • Strong organic growth driven by 3G, 4G and 5G roll-out, new spectrum auctions and new coverage and capacity requirements.
  • New opportunities in related communications infrastructure beyond traditional towers, such as DAS, small cells, and fiber connectivity. 

Identifying new markets

  • Leverage our skills and technology expertise to expand across emerging markets through a disciplined approach to deploying capital.
  • Focus on expansion into new geographies and markets with strong fundamentals and opportunities to partner with leading MNOs.

Pursuing relationships with multi-jurisdiction MNOs and other service providers

  • Work with our partners to identify new avenues of collboration.
  • Provide value-added services to help our customers accelerate roll-outs and optimize their networks.
